Releve

Your defective block assessments,
drafted before you leave the site.

Every application to the Defective Concrete Blocks Grant Scheme needs a Building Condition Assessment. The visit takes a morning; writing it up can take two weeks. Releve's AI reads the homeowner's paperwork, your site photos and your voice notes, and drafts the report on site.

The scale

This is not a Donegal problem.

20,000 Homes may be affected

Petrolab's survey of 48 estates, presented to the Oireachtas in June 2026. It excludes social housing, businesses and duplexes. Councils have counted 9,500 so far.

9 Counties in the scheme

6 in full, parts of 3Carlow, Clare, Donegal, Limerick, Mayo and Sligo, plus parts of Fingal, Meath and Wexford.

8,000 Of them outside Donegal

Petrolab projects 12,000 in Donegal, 4,500 in Clare, 2,500 in Limerick and 1,000 in Mayo. Two in five are elsewhere.

The bottleneck

Every application to the scheme starts with this report.

A registered engineer, architect or surveyor must inspect the house and sign a Building Condition Assessment before the homeowner can apply.

3,598

Applications so far.

Every one of them needed a signed assessment before it could be made, and thousands of homes have yet to apply.

Scattered

Evidence arrives in pieces.

Phone photos, voice memos, handwritten notes, planning files and old reports, retyped at a desk days later.

Gaps restart the loop.

In one council's audit, 11 of the 19 slowest applications were incomplete.

How it works

Prepare. Capture. Correct. Freeze.

Drag the pin through one visit.

01 · At the practice

Start from what exists.

Upload the planning file and old reports. The AI reads them and fills the blank fields, each showing the document it came from.

Documents: synthetic homeowner and professional PDFs extracted, with originals and extraction history kept. Site observation: a synthetic front-wall photo, completed dictation, a 2.5 mm crack measurement and professional damage classification. Review: building information with AI suggestions, missing fields and an expanded link to the original homeowner document. Exported versions: four frozen reports with ready PDF downloads and outstanding review warnings.
The difference

Not a black box. Every line traces back.

Paste documents into a chatbot and you still have to check every answer. Releve breaks each source into small facts, and every line of the report points to the fact it came from.

Who it's for

Built for the practice that writes the report.

We can't fix the whole scheme, so we picked one step and one user: the professional who writes the assessment. That work is already paid for; Releve gives back the write-up time.

ADDS TO IT

The homeowner

Uploads what is missing through a one-time link. No account.

BUYS IT

The engineering or architecture practice

A subscription per assessor, so a busy week costs nothing extra.

RECEIVES IT

The council

Gets the same PDF it gets today. No new portal to learn.

One unbroken pen line running left to right: a crack in a wall becomes handwriting, then the ruled lines of a report, then an amber signature.
How it scales

This is the starting point.

Evidence in, a source for every value, a signature, a version that never changes. That engine fits any report a professional has to sign, so a new report type is a new template, not a new product.

NOW

DCB assessments

The Building Condition Assessment every grant needs.

NEXT

The rest of the scheme

Works plans, payment claims and completion packs, plus the new social homes scheme.

THEN

Other site reports

Condition surveys, snagging, installation, building control and fire safety.

NORTH STAR

Traceable AI extraction

Any evidence-heavy report, compliance included, where every fact has to be checkable.

Each new report type still needs testing with real users. Success in DCB doesn't prove demand elsewhere.
